Take the chance and travel through Canada and the States: I've been to the national parks in BC, Vancouver, Toronto, NY, ... and it was awesome.

Go to Vancouver or travel across the country (take yourself enough time before or after term!), join UoA-Outdoors Club, Get together with the people. They are incredible frindly and open-minded. You'll love them. Have fun!

If you go to Canada travelling is a MUST! You really have to explore the beautiful natur, countryside and the very nice people.

Everybody must see Rocy mountains especially if you like any kind of outdoor sports. Don't worry about the cold weather you learn how to manage it:)

Final comments
This term at the U of A was a great time and I can just recommend it to everybody! Don't fear the winter!! Though it is very cold, the dry air makes it feel warmer. I didn't need other winter clothing than home in Austria! The U of A is a great university, I would always return to Edmonton!
