My personal advice is: please study english before to go England. if you do this you will learn much more than if you don't know anything. Of course if you speak english it will be easier the first weeks. try to travel as much as you can because you are not going to be abroad all your life, so take advance of this year.

My English is a lot better than before. The language of the country and university are the same, what gave me the chance to concentrate on it. At the beginning it is really hard to get into the texts, if your english is as bad as mine at the beginning, but the teachers normally accept that and are considerate.

In my opinion it's very useful to attend the House Search Event before the starting of the term because it gives you the opportunity to find easily an accomodation. Morover, the Accomodation office is always available to give you advices or to help you if you have any problem with you landlord.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Even if the campus was pretty good it's sometimes cheaper and more pleasant to live with a bunch of friends in a shared appartment. It also gives more freedom and responsability.

Great university with lots on offer and opportunities.
Indigo S
United Kingdom, Undergraduate
Language, 2023
Overall
The campus is not traditional as the University is immersed in the city of Bristol which itself is a great learning environment with beautiful parks, green spaces, high streets and architecture. The courses are well organised and the teaching standard is high. There are many libraries for students to choose from and thousands of educational books to delve into. There are many extra curricular opportunities as well on offer such as sports, magazines, or subject specific societies!
