I wish I had known...

I wish i had known it was going to colder than i had anticipated. I would have brought a thicker jacket to wear instead of purchasing a new one.

UCLA is a great place to go to meet people because everyone here is incredibly friendly and there's always a social situation that one can attend to immerse themselves with the locals.

Final comments

I am enjoying myself greatly in UCLA. It is a prestigious institution and the classes never bore me. The people here are hardworking and amiable.

Better to travel in advance to look for accommodation. Careful election of courses because they might imply heavy workload.

Maybe I should have gotten a fake ID. Being 20 in the US is not so much fun from a nighlife perspective.

Final comments

Go to Joshua Tree Park and Palm Canyon by Palm Springs. There is nothing like it! And a trip to Vegas is a must too.

Inquire before you go about all posibilities, go to tourist information offices and the embassy and read a lot beforehand. Good Luck!!

If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House

Why?

I prefer a personal space that comes with living in an apartment. The apartment is also convenient as it is fully furnished and has all the facilities of a home.

The housing arrangements are done very well and the system is very organized. However, getting maintainence to fix certain things in the apartment take a very long time.
