On the CESP there were not much work to do. If you are interested mainly for academic skills go somewhere else. If you are interested generally to have a great experience in your life go to Prague.

There are a lot of opportunities (and cheap) to travel within Czech Rep. or abroad. The best and most fun way is to get together with other students that you will meet. Do not ever take a taxi from the street because they will rip you off. Prefer to call certain companies or prearrange the price.

Prague is a wonderful city, it is worth going. From an academic point of you, the University of Economics of Prague offers not a lot of courses for foreign students that are the same level than at my home university in St. Gallen. But the courses gave me some insight into the Czech transformation process, EU enlargement etc. which you can not get anywhere else but in the specific country.

Only the living situation. If I had known that all the things that were said to be there, weren't there, I would have brought those instead of having to buy them there.

The CESP programme for foreign students is a bit to easy when studying at university level.
This is according to the people involved to support the people that want to travel most of the time and to help them pass the courses.
A bit surprising is that people who do make an effort can receive the same grades as people that are hardly ever in class and do the work at the last minute.

When coming to Prague the first time, it is helpful to bring a small phrasebook and a book about the city/country to help you find your way a bit better.
The university also helps you with this aspect by giving a tour of Prague and you can also be assigned to a personal buddy that can help you settle in and arrange accomodation etc.
This is especially helpful the first couple of days when everything is new.
The buddy is Czech and hence is the perfect opportunity to meet and socialize with a Czech person.
