Tips: - know basic Czech language; - take the opportunity to travel in the countryside (Moravia) and to neighbour countries (Hungaria, Poland); - suscribe for courses with a project to do rather than with a final exam. You'll learn much more : cross-cultural communication, work and exchange points of view with people of different culture, be in touch with local companies...

Why study at VSE?

Czech Republic,
Economics, 2025
Overall
It is an excellent university for those who have in mind studying careers related to finance and business. It has a good infrastructure in a very good and central location in Prague. The teachers are always willing to support the students.
On the other hand, student life turns out to be very good, since the campus has study areas, bookstores, a cafeteria, etc.

Additionally, the dorms are very close to campus, making it perfect for saving time on trips to university. Besides this, the facilities have everything necessary for the student to make the most of it and be able to complete their studies satisfactorily.

Careers
The university has many agreements with various universities around the world. From the first semester of studies, they keep you informed about it through talks and information sent to the institutional email.

The requirements they set for you are fair and adequate so that anyone who proposes it can apply and make the exchange. They rarely worry about that aspect.

Pros
It is very prestigious, providing quality studies, which makes it easier for students and graduates to find employment easily and quickly.
Cons
Could invest a little more in college sports and encourage more extracurricular activities.

The language is very difficult, even in daily use. If you really want to improve your language skills you must be on a certain level of fluency

Take easy courses, more difficult courses are not "better" in teaching you something and take the time for travelling and socializing

Personal comments
The student dormitories are the cheapest possibility to live in Prague. It is nothing special, but one gets everything what is necessary for living. Internet, kitchen, bathroom is included in the small appartments, which are shared by 4 persons. The houses look like typical architecture from the comunism period, but for the price charged it is more than ok.

Course recommendations
Czech - interesting to learn some, but very hard History of any kind - interesting to learn about this country and its past Managerial Systems - matched my studies and was very intersting because focussed on Eastern Europe (especially Privatization after Communism)
