Overall
Edinburgh University is helpfully placed in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. The languages department has been very helpful and the teachers that have taught me have been very high standard. I am currently in my third year doing a year abroad and have had nothing but help from Edinburgh staff regarding year abroad topics.

Most of my time in the evenings were spent at the grassmarket. We would have a pint (or two~) at Biddy Mulligans and then wait at the "Hanging Point" for a taxi. The night started when we would arrive to Eros for dancing till early morning. I never felt scared of walking in the middle of the night because there were almost as many people out at night as there were during the day.

There are flats in great location available. Internet and cleaning is included. You can call from room to every other university room in the whole town. that was very helpful. service is very well. But I had 11 flatmates - that can be loud and messy!
