It is important to remark that I lived in Scotland. At the beginning was quite difficult to understand scottish, but in about less than a month I really cope it.

I had no problems at the uni in regard to understand the lecturers but to understand students was sometimes impossible. There were no real social contacts between natives and international students.

Did not have a problem. I am a native English speaker as are the Scottish people, so no language barrier there.

It was a great exeprience for me to develop my communication skills but also the academic language which was very demanding especially concerning my studies.

I'm very happy of my English but still have some problems when someone talks too much dialect (but that's the same for mother-tongue speackers!!!)
