No problems communicating, with plenty of opportunities provided to meet with other international students. There are plenty of country-based society (e.g. French Society, Latin American Society, Bulgarian Society) so meeting other people from your host country is easy, but is is recommended to mix with a wide range of people to get the most of out your experience.

Stay away. There are nicer places also inside of the Uk or in Europe or in the world. I was pretty disappointed bec I was much looking forward to study abroad but wish i had spent my time more wisely

If you actually go there i would advise to join some societies and try to make the most out of it, try to meet rather many people than depending on few, and get the balance right- especially at Essex, more than in other places.

Academic
Course recommendations
In comparison to German universities, I had a lot more interaction with my lecturers. Additionally the administration staff was always very helpful and friendly and the Psychology Department had countless brand new big-screen Mac's with all time access which helped a lot with all the course work and data entry.
