Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Despite the fact that at first we all thought we were living in jail, with such grey bricks all over the walls, we had an amazing year, sharing a flat with
11 other people from all around the world! I'd do exactly the same again!

The rooms were a bit small and sad, but with posters and personal touch, everything's all right! The kitchen was to share, the shower too, with 2 WC. There was a Tv and reccorder in the kitchen. Enough shelves in the fridge for everybody, equal for the cupboard. Nothing bad, everything perfect! I loved it!

i was living in self contained flat on my own.the standard of my flat was v.high, once a fortnight the cleaner was coming. yes, i know, a bit snobby, but it was better than sharing one shower with 11 other people

It's great to live on campus because it gives you quick access to the international student social life.

The blocks of flats weren't pretty to look at, but there was a good atmosphere there. There were loads of internationals just thrown together in flats and so we had great fun just chatting about our different cultures. And there were different kinds of parties every weekend!

It is quite nice to live on campus as it offers several advantages. However, lots of foreign students live on campus as it is the cheapest way. As a result, it is more difficult to really get into the English culture and meet natives.

Personal comments
Personally, I think that it is too far expensive for what it is: that is to say a very small room and one shared-shower for 12 people. The problem is not the size of the room or the fact that you are sharing everything with the others, which is quite nice actually, it is just that the price does not correspond at all to this kind of accomodation.
