Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
I had to change dorms mid term so I was in two different ones (I was the only one and party it was my own fault so its not common practice to move people like that). I met some great people in the dorms, the location was excellent. It was an easy way to get into the social life.

The first housing was a great facility. The second I was in had a better social life and excellent location. Most international students are in the dorms. However, in some of the university housing there is a great deal of freshers (age 17-18) but not in all of them. The price is decent, less than in Milan anyways.

As an Erasmus sudent it is great to be living on campus as you are in direct contact with other european and international student. For me the Erasmus experience is about being immersed in another culture and learning about others. Living on campus is the perfect solution.

I was quite happy about the student halls. Most of the places offer a wide range of facilities. You have the choice between undergraduate or postgraduate accomodation. Some rooms are en-suite. You have to book early to be able to choose a suitable accomodation as there is a limited number of place available.

Housing
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Because it has been great staying with other students and sharing our culture each other; also during the studying time we made experiences together and it was a moment to learn different ways to behave on the same problems.

There was an Accomodation Office where you could catch the right addresses and keep contact with private or public structures. When I arrived on January there were few problems to find an accomodation at the Campus because most of the rooms were booked since September; so i've had just few days at one of the University Accomodation and the I moved away.

My reccomandation for this University is to go and see waht it is like you will not regret it. If you play sports hard you can find there a huge amount of opportunities to practice your sport even in a high level. Studying is important, but usually students don't like advices on it.

Get a Zone card or a bus card for buses and for the underground. Use your student card as nuch as possible to get reductions and if you don't have one get a SYHA card (Scottish Youth Hostel Assosiation) to have cheap accomodations

Personal comments
In general I am happy with my language improvement, because even though I had a good paper knowledge of the language, it was difficult to put it into practice and develop fluency. After my stay in Glasgow I felt much at ease when I had to speak in English. Mainly I practised at University, with teachers and local students, and outside University at shops. It was difficult to get to know local students and share their activities (mainly the night live ones) due to the age difference (as the local students sharing accomodation or classes with us where much younger).
