The people were very helpful in correcting and helping me with my English. They were very friendly about it too. It made learning a difficult language much easier/more enjoyable.

The food and housing was expensive in Hawaii, as well as entertainment. I didn't really find myself talking on the phone much at all, and anywhere I wanted to travel I could go by bus, so those were relatively cheap expenses.
