If you (as an exchange student) are interested in taking courses of the prestigious accounting program, be tough and consequent when registering! They don't want you there, but if you ask long enough and the right people (Talk directly to the dean!), you have a chance to get into some very interesting courses!

Course recommendations
The first week is syllabus week - the teachers are mostly discussing the syllabus and are done after 10 minutes, so you have enough time to go to as many classes as possible! I really recommend to talk to the professors, because many classes sound nice after reading the description, but are more or less boring.

The courses are highly demanding. While not all professors are as good as one would hope for, overall this is one of the premier business schools in the United States and has good networking with companies in Chicago.

We bought a car and made roadtrips over the weekends. Starting on Thursday evening until Monday morning. We went to New York, Washington D.C. and Chicago.
