My favourite course, not only in Leeds but out of all the modules I have ever taken was Romance, Ballad and Fairytale. The focus in this module is on the link between older English literature and more modern novels. It is essentially for those who has an interest in folk tales and the fantasy genre.

Not really, but a piece of advice to other students is to really think through their choice of courses, and remember the possibility one has to change these choices early on in the term,and lastly; be prepared since there is a lot of reading to get through.

“Tough but very rewarding”

Valoración globalI studied Petroleum Engineering BEng. It was extremely tough as we shared a lot of modules with chemeng and with geology students. Felt a bit like jack of all trades and master of none! But the course itself was very rigirous and required many late nights in the library. If you want a social life at Leeds and to graduate with First Class Honours, studying chemical/petroleum engineering is not the course for you!

There's a lot of opportunities (internships, further study, socials) but you'll have to find them yourself.
En contra
Coursework can be so demanding that it's difficult to absorb the subject as you're constantly cramming especially in your final year.

It's too much pressure to have your entire grade based on one test...less weight should be placed on the test and more on course work

I really appreciated the fact that they helped me with the housing before I travelled there. Everything was arranged in advanced and they guided me through all the proccess.

Don't loose any occassion you can have. Join in the University Societies. Travel and meet all people you can...and improve your English with all the friends you can have. Don't loose a minute at home ....you can't get bored in that place.
