University of Melbourne (UM)

the nightcat near Brunswichstreet was very popular. Funky music. My favorite place though was Prince Alfred's on Grattan street, opposite university. Mostly college people here though.

The accomodation that the university could arrange for you was inaffordable, and I also found it more suitable for younger students. People who have just left highschool and don't know how to be totally independant yet.

try to find all the funds that are available to students who want to go abroad. Cost saving tip: write emails at uni, instead of calling home. [Okay it's less fun]

I already spoke english pretty well, but it's always good to get better, especially with an important language like this one.

This is a once in a life time experience. I wish I could have stayed longer, but the money was gone and I had to write my thesis in Holland. If you go studying abroad you should realise it is very difficult to spend as much time studying as you do at home. I spend a lot of time experiencing australia. That was one of the main reasons for doing this whole thing. I think I have succeeded. I fell in love with Australia!
