I was lucky. My Engish was wuite allright when I came to Manchester cause I did travell abroad a few summers before I started my second degree in UK.
My English has improved so much since I came to Manchester though my English was quite ok when I first came.
I am a quite open person so I didn´t have that much difficulties to get into the local people. I do work there and I do get on with the English culture now, after living there two years. It took me time to get used to it becsue I come from a very different counntry like Spain, Barcelona. But I survived! I really did.

It was very good. Even oral exams. They took into account that you are an erasmus student, so they would help you prepare better.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: House in Manchester center
Why?
Because I am living in Salford where is a city very closed to Manchester center but...it is a very "scary" and "dangerous" place to live so... I would rather living away from there for my safety.

Personal comments
The accomodation is quite ok but Because I am a foreign student I do not have the facilities that English people do like bringing my PC or televison and stuff like that so...my room is quite empty to say so.
The accomodation is not that clean and the area where the university accomodation is... is in a very bad area.
I do like University of Salford but I don´t like where the university is. And this is the main problem of that University.
The solution is moving away from Salford but...that means living far away from Uni.
