There is a "committe" which offers you weekly the opportunity of participating in different activities thay may take place in the city or surroundings, including excursions or so. When I was there the person who organised everything was named "Jim Wilson" in case you need to know.
It is difficult to make friends with local students - they know you are only there for a year. I did not think it would be a problem, as I am a really outgoing person and make new friends easily. It was a bit depressing at the start. The other thing I underestimated was the amount of reading I had to do for the courses.

It was a great course, but a lot of work. Be prepared. Apart from that, you need good references and marks to get accepted.

Don't travel by bus - it is a 26 hours nightmare. BA has special prices at certain times of the year - check them out at the travel agents.

Great university with excellent tutors & education. It has an international reputation which drives students from all over the world. Arrange your accomodation (short or long term) before going there. Living outside the campus is also fun. Investigate all options. If you can, purchase a laptop before starting the programme, very useful(and comfortable)while preparing your projects.
