University of Victoria (UVIC)

Engineering courses in calculus and physics are horrible. The teachers give D's and F's to more than 50% of the class. See ratemyprofessors.com for further proof from many students that the teachers are terrible. Teachers only interested in research and not teaching. They say this is a "Co-Op" and hands on learning which is really not true. It is all theoretical and finals count for at least 60% of the grade.

Do not fail over 50% of the class in physics, calculus, statics and engineering courses. Teachers should focus on teaching rather than research. Many of my friends transferred out on UVIC never to return.

It was harder to find an apartment than in Finland.

Teachers were very nice people and the university was beautiful.

Because it' s a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world

it's a very nice university that you will make lots of friends worldwide.

Very limited space on campus. Primarily for first year students. After the first year they have no other choice but to move off campus.
