I live with my parents, so I automatically spent more on food and accommodation. I hardly used my mobile phone as it was a dutch one, so It would've cost too much to use it. I went out more than In Holland so I spent more on nightlife. In Holland I have a travelcard which is funded by the government, so I spent more in the UK.

The buscard for the semester costed 145 pounds so that was a bit of a surprise. It's better to take lots of money every once in a while than to take little amounts, because your bank charges quite a lot for those transactions.

Everything was basically priced the same as at home so I was able to keep the budget I used at my home university. The only time that I went over budget a little was when I traveled.
