I lived in a dorm called "International House". It is a good place if you like meeting with people from different nationalities and backgrounds, but it could be a hell if you need privacy and quiet environment.

In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
It is big, but not too big, and there is enough going on to keep you busy. I would recommend this university to anyone that wanted to study in Australia. The city and the beach are easily accessible, there are a lot of great bars, cafes, and restaurants, and Sydney is only an hour and half communte by train.

Final comments
There are a lot of Americans that study at this university making it a bit difficult for an American to become friends with non-Americans. If you are only there for a semester, many non-Americans are wary of becoming friends because while they stay, you will be leaving.

Glasshouse is a hot night spot, and Mylan (a Vietnamese restaurant) by Crown St. Mall has the best spring rolls I have ever tasted.

Pretty good. It is fully furnished and it includes food. But it's a bit expensive for Wollongong

Drinking is really big in Wollongong. There's pubs everywhere and students go down there even on weekdays.
