It was very useful that the university had organised the accomodation for us, the rooms were approximately 12 square metres with shared bathrooms, but that didn´t matter to me as it was just a question of a good organisation between the students, i never had any problem!
Staying at a halls of residence provides the student with the opportunity of meeting international students and make friends, and, have great parties too.

The housing was really good. It was clean, located in a nice quiet area, within a walking distance to the centre and the university main campus.
Si j'y retournais je choisirais: Appartement/maison
Pourquoi?
cost-wise, it is much better to share a place with people you can get on with

At the 1st semester, we were a bunch of French people (all living in the same corridor)- which didn't really help in practising English!
We were on the Telford campus and the accom there was pretty new.
Si j'y retournais je choisirais: Appartement/maison

more comfortable and cozy, and when living together with other room mates it's cheaper

my room was tiny, poorly furnished (used furniture), horrible sanitary facilities, and the walls were so thin you could hear every word from your neighbour. The windows were not airtight so it was freezing cold in the winter time. I lived together with 12 students on my floor who had to share one fridge and one shower...
