Course recommendations
Some seminaries were only available for exchange student which made it more difficult for us to keep in touch with slovene students. On the other hand, we were few people attending this lessons so it was a great opportunity to exchange our comments and have a very interesting dialogues together. I didnt had any final exam as my work was assessed continuously throughout the course. I liked it because it was a good method to check whether I was improving or not and to know where did I had to focus more.

Academic life was awesome! There was a good mood among all students and teachers were very young and close to their students. Cafeteria was a nice place to have lunch together or a coffee in between the lessons.

Of course, Bled, Postojna and the Coast are wonderful locations, but enjoy cycling on the hilly roads of this beautiful country! Dare to know Slovenian people, other than student, that's worth it, in order to discover more about their lifestyle

Use every facility for students and enjoy this small town, where mobile phone is almost unnecessary, with the activity of a big one. In summer it is plenty of cultural festivals!

People speak English, especially students, and you wont have any problem. Ive had an intensive 4week language class in the beginning, just enough to get used to it... Slovenian is hard for most foreign students. I understand what people talk about most of the time, understand peoples' interactions, but thats it. Its sometimes not easy when you are alone with 10 local students (but you cant complain about that!). but overall, they are happy to adress you in English, and many also speak German, Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch, Croatian etc... and they will be happy to practice your language. I was able to hitch hike around, and make basic communications in German, Slovene, English, Latin, Whateverian...

I met hundreads of people in a year, Erasmus students and Slovene students, have been invited to countless parties, travelled to budapest, sicily, san marino, venise, trieste, vienna, zagreb, croatian coast, all around slovenia... Hitch hiking in Slovenia is a must: easy safe and fast. The city is burgeonning, many new places open every year, and there is for every taste: from Metelkova, the alternate free neighbourhood, to posh-expensive-showing-off Global. Just try and visit as much as u can, and see what you like. Parties can be wild anywhere. Student doms on tuesdays, drinking WeekEnds with the international student office, party in the park... you name it.
