The location of my student house at Rackarbergsgatan was excellent. It was only a 10 mins walk from my main study building Ekonomikum. I also had the opportunity to interact with the local Swedish students and also other international students.

I had the opportunity to live in the student housing area at Rackarbergsgatan. It was great that I have the entire room to myself and there was also kitchen facilities. With only 5 tenants per apartment, I can interact with the others in ease. The only flaw is that I would have to share the toilet and shower room with the rest. But, I couldn't have ask for more!!It was a great experience, plus there was a barbeque pitch and a huge garden just outside my apartment.

Everything was perfectly organised: the residence was well-structured and shaped for students. You could have your independence there, but you could also find places for meeting other people. We were required to respect one other's freedom.
The level does not indicate anything about the interest or the amount of homework to do. Sometimes the amount of work is heavy, but for me it was pretty ok.

It seems that Swees like to read and give back the exact opinion of the author at the exams. Strange. Maybe not enough personnal opinion. Maybe i also didn't stay long enough to assess the whole degree and way of studying.

No. It was a learning experience and I came out the other end as a different person. I can't think of anything that would have helped me achieve a better outcome.

Uppsala is a great place to study as well as socialise. I learnt a lot both academically and about myself and other people. I recommend it highly.

As Sweden is an expensive country I would recommend that you don't do this on a shoestring as it would be a bit of a downer not to be able to afford to do the things you want to do. Other than that, make sure you do as much travelling as you can while you're there.
To save as much money as humanly possible before leaving, because there are much better things here to spend money on than at home.

The study is not the most important part of this experience, so don't come for here if that's all you want to do. Uppsala is an amazing social experience, and the people you meet will change your life.

Make sure you travel as much as you can when you're here, go up the Lapland, bring warm clothes, learn some basic swedish before you arrive.
Not really, I would have tried to find a laptop if I had known that there were so little good computers available.

I think, Uppsala University is one of the best universities to go to.
It was a good university, a rich studentlife and a rich culture. The thing to keep in mind is that Sweden is expensive but there are ways to make it cheaper.

Go see St. Peterburg if you have the chance. The boat to Helsinki is so cheap that you can not go around that and Norway is too pretty to be left out, although I did because I know I will go there eventually.
