Si lo hubiera sabido...

Information is important but the university sent us a brochure to know a little bit more about the housing, the student life, the university. No more needed. As well we had information from other students of our home university that were in Uppsala a year before. Very well organized.

I did alot of research before I went, and found that making contact with previous exchange students from my home university who had been to Uppsala University helped alot.

I would definitely say that Uppsala University is a great place to study abroad. I would definitely recommend studying during the spring semester. Sure, it means starting in the winter, but there is something about spring in Uppsala (the climate change and the activities) that is pretty damn special.

No. It was a learning experience and I came out the other end as a different person. I can't think of anything that would have helped me achieve a better outcome.

Uppsala is a great place to study as well as socialise. I learnt a lot both academically and about myself and other people. I recommend it highly.

As Sweden is an expensive country I would recommend that you don't do this on a shoestring as it would be a bit of a downer not to be able to afford to do the things you want to do. Other than that, make sure you do as much travelling as you can while you're there.

Join one of the more international oriented nations. It is obligatory to join one anyway. They will organize the most for you and maybe you can organize somethings yourself?!
