The language of introduction is English. Since I have successfully finished a placement in the UK, I did not have any difficulty with that. There is a course Swedish for Beginners, which I followed. That is a very nice way of mastering the basic knowledge of the Swedish language.

Personal spending habits
Sweden is simply a very expensive country. the food is very expensive and so is the alcohol. Actually nothing is cheaper. Your social life is far more busy as weel then at home so you spent more. You also travel more to see something of the country, in Holland travelling with public transport is free if you study.

Personal comments
Bring alcohol from home! If you have the possibility do your shopping together with someone and plan for a week in advance. This will definately save you money. Because you will be more efficient. Also write down what you spend! Keep up your finances!

Course recommendations
If you arrive already with a knowledge of Swedish, then forget the international programmes and try: Nordiska Spraak, History or even another language as I did like German.

Course recommendations
There are not many english courses to choose from because it is not the country´s native language, but the ones existing are pretty good.

More in-site classes would be better, a bit too much self-study. A higher ratio of Swedish students to international students might be better.
