The american accent is very difficult to understand. I was used to the british english and tough that it would be easy to adapt myself to this new pronounciation; but it wasn't that. It took me one month and an half to feel more confortable with the language (but when I look back, I realize that my level was pretty poor)

Go to "Have a Nice day" cafe. You will find lots od bars where you could listen rock bands in downtown. As you are in Nashville, the country city you should also try places where you can dance country. All the places you can find are outside of the town. You need a car to go there but this is lot of fun
