Vlerick Business School

This was a Master Programme and the course is such that it has been squeezed into a very compact and handy one to fit one academic year. There were a few courses which have increased my knowledge and interest to a very good extent but what dissappointed at times was the fact that the school had to carry on with some redundant and uninteresting courses, because certain professers wished for the same. Otherwise, the course content was pretty good to serve as a springboard in the world of business.

The School is not just a management school dealing in teaching. A wide variety and amount of research and in comapny training and consultancy programmes are undertaken by the School as well. This is to a certain extent a healthy practice. But room for improvement exists in the fact that the School should be a little more responsive and adaptable as far the aspirations of students are concerned. Being tied down to a ceratin fixed academic route, debilitates this aspect. I general and otherwise, I think the the academic life is fairly balanced.

The school is only in its third year of English as teaching medium - consequently the quality of many lectures are influenced negatively. They are working on it though.

We were a very large group (65 students) with limited space available. At times writing examinations proved to be very difficult as everywhere you look, you look at someone else's paper. They are trying to limit the student numbers for the future.

They should be more practical
