You should be patient with the weather conditions of Netherlands, especially if you are coming from a Mediterranean country. Amsterdam is like a crossroad for many cities and countries so it can be always a point for international departures. The city is very touristic and as a result quite expensive, especially if you decide to rent an apartment. Moreover if you decide to stay in a residence first check it location (some residents are very far from the city center).

- get an appartment long before you come to Amsterdam. The living situation there is as hopeless as the one in Stockholm. Almost impossible to get an appartment. - Be prepared that the quality as far away from good and that you will pay a lot for housing and food -What compensate it all is good communication net for students, excellent nightlife with lot to offer, close to other european countries; I recommend a sailing trip up in north part of Holland which usually is organized by university student board

great school, could be more helpful to English speakers
Anne B
Netherlands, Graduate
Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, 2020
Overall
K.W. Wawoe (Kilian) is probably the best professor I have ever had. Please take his class if you get the chance.

The school is fairly conducive to English speakers, but there are enough challenges for it to be frustrating. It could be more helpful, especially given what international fees are.

Overall
The entire year so far has been filled with fun coming across new faces and people from all over the world in a wonderful international city such as Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The education system has been hard to adapt to but regular studies can really make a big difference.
