The Wirtschaftsakademie Schleswig-Holstein is a private education company based in Kiel . As a central education and training center on behalf of the chambers of industry and commerce in Schleswig-Holstein , the business academy and its subsidiaries are represented at 22 locations in the state. Shareholder is the Förderstiftung Wirtschaftsakademie Schleswig-Holstein, which is supported by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Flensburg, Kiel and Lübeck. Almost 24,000 participants use the qualification offers every year. The company employs almost 480 employees and about 850 freelance lecturers (as of 2009). The activities of the Business Academy are divided into the state-recognized areas with the Berufsakademie and the Fachschule für Betriebswirtschaft as well as the training and further education through the branches and the own youth development.
