Vienna holds an excellent geographic placement offering vast opportunities in travelling interesting places. Furthermore it has so mucg to offer culturally and people in Vienna seem to enjoy life - this last aspect affects you too.

Vienna is a great central location, take the time to visit Eastern Europe (very cheap) as well as Western Europe

It is very organised with many facilities and a high level of courses. Students have to choose it if they are interested for the academic results and not only for fun. The city is amazing though.

It is easy to travel to the countries around, there is also a discount for students if the buy a cheap student card.The local students from University are very helpful and they organize a lot of great trips and parties.

The exchange students could get along speaking just english since there was such a wide international program and most austrians speak it quite well. I went to Austria with a good knowledge of english and it helped me very much at the beginning, when my German was very poor. Along the year, thank to my room mates, my classes and my friends I achieved a good level of German.

Course recommendations
This university is not well organised for the exchange students. We had a lot of problems regarding the immatriculation to the courses, becase of the limited number of places.
Suggestion: It had been better to reduce the number of exchenge students in order to give them more possibilities in the selection of classes.
