It was great. My professors were really interesting and the campus is nice. Yonsei provided a lot of support for international students, and there were many cultural/social activities and travel opportunities too. Was really cool to meet so many students from around the world, and of course get to know local ones too.

Have fun, travel, meet people, enjoy the different culture, learn, and keep up with the studies. The people are pretty friendly there. South Korea is extremely wired too, which is really convenient. Can only pay cash for a lot of things (even cell phone bill for me). If you need cash, take out money infrequently but in large sums from atm to avoid the transaction fee. Can get a bank account at Woori Bank too if you need. Watch out for crazy traffic in the busy city areas .It can be pretty bad in Seoul. Probably there is much more to know, but I can't think of it right now~

Food is very cheap in Korea... If you stick to Korean food. Western food can get quite pricey sometimes. Transportation and Traveling is also quite cheap; if you travel in groups, you can stay at pensions or motels for 10.000 Won a night!

There's a "Grand Mart" at Shinchon Subway Station that is much cheaper than the "Rainbow Supermarket" at the East Gate. Don't go to Department Stores to shop for clothes, they are extremely expensive and they sometimes charge twice or even three times the price for Western labels. Go to Dongdaemun Night Market instead. - Great bargains!

Housing
Type of housing: Goshiwon
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Goshiwon
Why?
It gives you freedom unlike the dorms. The dorm life is harder because you have less privacy and if you are older (considering I'm sure you don't usually think of studying abroad right away freshman year -like myself-) dorm life isn't really your thing.

My Goshiwon was small but it was just outside of Yonsei and located right by the subway (which is honestly your main source of transportation anywhere in Seoul aside from buses and taxi's coming home from long nights with friends if you didn't spend it in Sinchon)

Try to choose the courses that most interest you ( although it is not easy if you have to transfer them-this is what happened to me!). Ask previous student what courses they took and the amount of work you have to do for them!

Try to travel as most as you can. South Korea is in the middle of asia: you are one hour flight from Beijing, one from Tokyo, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam are quite close too! It would be a good opportunity to spend your summer holidays here if you come for the Spring Term!
