The lack of cooking facilities at Europa Haus meant that I had to eat out more than usual, purely through boredom of Pasta and Sauce all the time. It is very easy to get money over from Britain, simply use ATM's, wiring money really isn't worth the hassle or cost.

my language proficiency level was already pretty good, but it's different when you are forced to be surrounded by the language at all time. Ease of speaking, slang, and fluency all increased, as well as the level of my 'book' German.
