Food in France is generally cheaper in the stores than it is in North America, that's not the case in restaurants. In terms of phone usage, I kept that to a minimum, sending e-mails instead. Rent is generally cheaper in Nantes than it is in Ottawa. Nightlife and travel cost me more in France because I went out more often and travelled around Europe everytime I had a break.

Personal comments
If you intend on travelling around Europe get a rail pass before leaving home and if you're travelling through France get the "Carte 12-25" it can cut the cost of train tickets in half. Also, make sure you bring 8 or 10 photos (passport size) with you before you go because almost every institution you'll deal with will require one. Something that is very important, make sure to have access to two accounts, if for some reason you lose one of your debit cards or one of your banks has a computer problem you find yourself strapped for cash in a foreign country.

Nantes is a great city to visit, with rich culture and history. Great places to shop, and the people are very helpful. Ask for help with the tram system if it's your first time. We got lost for over an hour our first time.

La Maison is a bar definitely not to be missed, it's decor is like a genuine 70's home and it's a cool atmosphere. The music is good, the drinks are great. A great club is La Villa and you can dance all night long there! There are also bigger clubs a bit out side the centre, like Quai Ouest and they're not bad at all. Student soirées often take place there and they shouldn't be missed. There are several nice restaurants, I recommend La Reine Margot. The setting is cosy, the food and the presentation is great and the prices aren't too bad. I didn't experience much out life in Nantes as I had a very heavy work load that semester, but I really enjoyed myself when I had the opportunity to go out!

It is a very competitive yet an amazing experience to be a part of Audencia. The staff is particularly diverse and very literate. The professors are the mentors who have helped us to a degree that we can’t really express. The student diversity is beyond vision and is really great. The courses are very unique and customised to utilise the maximum potential of the student’s young and eager mind

My program of Study is  MSc and MBA in Food and Agribusiness Management which is jointly run by Audencia Business School, Nantes in France, and FECAP, Sao Paulo in Brazil. It is inspiring as it provides a confluence of academics and real industry experience.
