Mostly we had parties organised by exchange students, us, but there are some bars and discos in the centre of Breda. eg. Spiltoun, Walkabout, Cranbeurs, so on. The best way to find your favorite one is to go to the centre of the city, saturday or Friday evening and make a tour through every place you can find:)

That there is so much rain in Holland! It was a joke! In the end I learnt to love rain as well.

In some questions they should be a little bit more flexible. E.g. before Christmas we should have gone to school until 24th of December. In Hungary December 24 is the first day of Christmas. They had Hungarian students before who asked for a permit for leaving earlier to join their families in Hungary but the school did not change it. So the procedure is the same every year: Hungarian students (50 people) write a letter, the director of the course gets mad and finally he gives the permit to come home earlier.

If you want to travel within Holland it is really worth buying a 'Voordeel Uren' Card. This is a discount card, costs 100 NLG but if you have it you can buy tickets with a 40 % discount for yourself and 3 other people if you travel after 9 in the morning.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I lived with other 3 international students. It helped us with improving our English and allowed us to learn about different cultures.

All necessarry equipment (like washing machine, fridge, dryer etc.)was provided. It was localised close to the University. However the costs were quite high.
