Personal savings<br> Government assistance
Work opportunities:

Personal spending habits
The telephone bills were charged through the university, the option of choosing a phone service provider was not there. Hence the phone bills were running very high. The dormitory expenses were much higher than my home university. I also did more travelling to other nearby cities. Also not to mention the exchange rate on the Canadian dollar.

Money from home
Personal comments
Eating out was more expensive that I had originally calculated. Renting a small fridge is a good idea, to store food from the grocery store. This will save you money in the long run.

Personal comments
Since my language proficiency was already good before studying abroad I did not have any problem communicating. However, the study abroad experience helped a great deal to perfect my written and oral expression: to the variety of expression, vocabulary and pronunciation.

The night spots and cafes were spread out in the city. Most of us would go to other towns and cities nearby such as San Fran and Ski resorts. Weekends Tickets were very cheap to major cities such as Los Angleles, San Diego, Las Vegas..etc
