Avoid the housing agencies, they'll rip you off. Live downtown in a shared apartment. The ESADE residence is extremely expensive and has the worst location in Barcelona.

I live with my parents at home so I had extra living and food expenses that I wouldn't have at home. I also went out and travelled more in Spain than at home. However, living and leisure costs compare favourable to Canada.

You do not need to buy textbooks at ESADE because the school provides customized course packages.

I am a local student who lives near the University. I first was intended to do my studies in Spanish, then, I got the opportunity to do them in English, which I accepted. This gave me the chance to meet people from all over the world and start friendships with them. Although I am in the English section, what allowed me to get to know a lot of foreign people, this also happens in the other sections, since ESADE is very international. Also, thanks to all the activities organized by the associations, you get to know people from all grades and backgrounds.

I think that the local teachers don't take the exchange students so seriously. That is a drawback for a graet school.

Barcelona has an amazing night life, nevertheless doing a MBA is not the best situation to enjoy "la marcha". There are many places but I would say that "La champañería" and "El Mirablau" are good places. There is a Very nice and traditional coffe shop in Plaza Cataluña but I do not remember the name now......

You can be carried away with the Cell phone if you don´t have a land line. And the ability to travel is more available or desirably that in the US because places seem more interesting.
