Personal spending habits
The cost of living in the United Kingdom, and specially in London is three times higher than in Spain. Accomodation was the most expensive (four/five times higher) followed by nightlife and food. We did not get out of London much due to this fact but we organized ourselves to enjoy it anyways to the maximum!

Personal comments
The best thing to do is to send boxes with some elementary food from your home country through the cheapest transport agency. The cheapest supermarkets are Safeway, Sainsbury's and Tesco (make sure you have one near your apartment!). For bus and subway you can make a student card by sending a brochure stamped by your university, it takes two/three weeks to receive it but you save lots of money. Try to get into the guest lists of the nightclubs it is less expensive. Go to notting hill market or spitalfields to buy appliances (such as a TV), you will get one by 10-35 pounds

Great university to meet people from all over the world - very multicultural atmosphere. It's a small university, very welcoming and comfortable to stay at. However, the quality of the course is average.
