I aws living on the campus for 3 months but it was too noisy, I preferred to live on my own in a room close to the campus to be independant and in a calm area and close to my friends and school at the same time

Much better than big cities like Munich, Stuttgart. But still, it's hard to find a dorm at the moment for too many students:)
