In FAU Erlangen they allow you to make up credits from any course, this makes for a very interesting experience that u can't really have in your home uni. plus try the intensive language course, its a great help.

Maybe more one on one tutorials, although we did have on tutorial a week just for erasmus which really help, law tutorials with normal law students is sometimes too difficult.

With bicycle you can travel the whole city so you can save the costs from travelling by trams and busses.

The Akademisches Auslandsamt do sterling work in providing for the foreign students that they take care of every semester. About 12% of the student body is foreign, so they have plenty of experience and are very well organised. They plan many trips for the students taking them around germany, and getting erasmus students together, which is so important.

I think the exam system in erlangen is terrible. Most of our exams were oral ones. Alot of the time it seemed very unfair. You could know lots but be asked a question that you did not know the answer to. Also if you got on well with the person examining you you could get a high mark. very unfair

Travelling in Germany is a national sport. You will find lots of ways to do it and a lot to see. If you go with the Railway, ask for special tarifs.
