You have to find time to take advantage of the possibility of travels (especially at week ends), knowing people, culture and language and having fun! It doesn't mean to forget the university, but there's time for everything...

My local university didn´t give me much information about the host university. I had to look for a lot by myself or with help from the Uni of göttingen. It would have helped to have here more information in my language and, for example, experiences from other students that had been in there before me.

I think this is a good University to make a course abroad. There are a lot of foreign students and because of this, the people of the university know what are the problems we have when we arrive there and they try to help you as much as they can. Moreover, the university is one of the most important things in Göttingen. So a lot of things are adapted to students´needs (it is not very expensive, there is a lot of nightlife, the university has very good facilities...)

If you are thinking about making an Erasmus course, you shouldn´t think about this anymore..Do it! and you will see that this is one of the best experiences you would ever have...

It is a great univeristy to expereince a truly German university town. There is plenty to do for a student- parties, going out, sports, good study options too... The town is sweet, and accessible, espically with a bike.

Find a tandem partner- either by enlisting in a program, or just make your own sign. I have a life-long friend because of it. Also, live with students where German is the common language. If you want to learn German, don't talk English, or be in the situation where you can!

How much bureaucracy there really is i Germany; it´s not just a myth! Bring your passport everywhere and allow for lots of time in the town hall in the first weeks.

The G.A. University is one of the oldest and most renowned in GErmany. It is often known of in other countries. It has all of the most common subjects, with good facilities. The town has a great atmosphere: students and bicycles everywhere.

Göttingen in right in the middle of Germany, so make the most of the great locatio to travel all around the country whenever you have free time. bIt is cheap to travel in groups in Germany at weekends.

I has been months since I first came to Goettingen. It is totally what I had expected: great facilities, cool faculty, great friends, nice dormitory. My program is really international, gathering people from all over the world. Yet, what I love the most about it is that this program is like a rendezvous of all people who have the same interests and dreams. Together we have been making a lot of great memories in here.

In addition, Goettingen is a really student-friendly city. I was really surprised at how young the city is, regardless of how much I was told before about the quietness in Germany. It is not the case with Goettingen.

Food and drink in Germany is very cheap when done privately. The housing I had was amazingly cheap in comparison to prices I was paying before in home-country. Travel in German is expensive- train travel espically.

Buy a Bahn-Card if you plan to do some travel. Saves hundreds! Be careful about chosing a bank- there are many fees, and some banks are regionally-indepedant, making banking outside your city impossible.
