Food and drink in Germany is very cheap when done privately. The housing I had was amazingly cheap in comparison to prices I was paying before in home-country. Travel in German is expensive- train travel espically.

Buy a Bahn-Card if you plan to do some travel. Saves hundreds! Be careful about chosing a bank- there are many fees, and some banks are regionally-indepedant, making banking outside your city impossible.

Most things were cheaper in Göttingen than they are in Uppsala. I spent about the same amount of money on food in Göttingen with the modification that I got a lot better value for monay in Göttingen than I would have got here.

In the case of the food, I was living before by my parent´s house. Telephone: I didn´t pay it, I was a spanish telephone system , where the people who receive the calls, pay. Accommodation: it was very cheap, but at home, I didn´t pay it. Travel: I travelled more than when I was in Spain, but in this case, I was travelling with the Uni ( cheap trips ), or by train at the weekends ( it was cheaper travelling weekend ). In Spain I was making big trips, and more expensives, so maybe not every weekend, cause I could spend in a month, travelling every weekend, the same as I could spend in Spain travelling for a week pro year.
