the lessons were in english but in local area many people spoke french. So you could practice both languages

it is difficult to find a housement in Brussels but by comparison with another capital like Paris the life is not very expensive

For acommodation better choose a house or a residence with more people, you would enjoy and preferible next to the university, there are several options. You are going to have great fun, be ready for nightlife, travels...
