If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
My university doesn´t have campus so I couldn´t choose this option. Wit a family could have been a great opportunity to learn french but when you go as an erasmus student, the family option is a little limited.In this case I would try to find other exchange students to share an appartment in order to live together with people from other nationalities.

They didn´t really help you at all. It was an issue that you have to find personally. Paris is a big city and difficult to hire, even more when you are an abroad student. Even I was european I had to present lots of documents to prove my reliability. I had a friend living in Paris so he helped with this stuff.

the campus is right next to university, it is very practical, but it is 20 min. away from downtown. if i would have stayed longer i'd choose downtown

everybody says alcatraz, because it looks like a prison, but the rooms are really clean and comfortable. (own bathroom and kitchen) it was really funny there and with caf it was not that expensive anymore!
