The university and social language was english. We spoke english between students because most of them could talk it easily, without any problem. It was a great chance to improve my english and french at the same time. At the beginning I recognized that I got nervous but then everything became easier. I worked also taking care of a little child which helped to improve my french.

you have to speak french even though i spoke a lot of english with the other exchange students. but in school etc, you have to speak french (groupworks etc.)
