Many students arrived with no knowledge of french and were able to get up to speed quickly. I had taken french in highschool/university and so it was very easy to catch on. In either case expect to be lost for a while, but normally it wont affect your performance in class too much. Everyone is/was very helpfull

The fact that it was hard at first, and that we were received with cordiality, were the no1 factors in the fact that I could learn the language very well.
