Housing
Type of housing: Independent Student Hall of Residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Independent Student Hall of Residence
Why?
The facilities were excellent and the social life at the halls was great and it was a good way to meet local students.

Copenhagen University place most foreign students in family homes, etc. But they do have some places in student halls (kollegium), so if you get offered a place - grab it! Life in the halls, living with Danish students, was excellent.

I speak English fluently, so therefore the language of instruction never posed a problem. I have taken Danish classes prior to coming to Denmark, and I am currently enrolled in a Danish language school in Copenhagen. Most Danish people speak English, but it seemed important to me to learn the local language in order to be able to communicate better.

There are too many to name within greater Copenhagen. There are tons of stores and cafes along Stroget, the largest walking street in Europe. Of course the best finds are on the streets just off this area. Christmas time is the best time throughout the city especially around Nyhavn, Radhuspladsen and Kongens Nytov which is beautifully decorated.

Final comments
Copenhagen is best in spring, so better choose a spring term. Be ready for expensive but fantastic beer and for a really wild night live. It worth going there, it is a fantastic experience. School arranges a lot of study tours and field trips.

Residence halls are actually not a bad place to be but it's really hard to get into one of them.

Student life in KU is pretty chill, where the students are all very nice. In class, there will usually be discussions about issues regarding the topic we are studying and this makes us learn better about it. The lecturers are also very helpful and would answer all my doubts.
