Copenhagen University place most foreign students in family homes, etc. But they do have some places in student halls (kollegium), so if you get offered a place - grab it! Life in the halls, living with Danish students, was excellent.

A lot of the other exchange students had problems with their landladies/-lords and the rooms have been very expensive sometimes. I was one of the few very lucky ones with a quite cheap room in a great area and great flatmates.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
In my opinion, it is easier to meet other students that are in the same situation as you are if you live close to them. The area where I was living was somehow outside the main students area.

The university provides an housing offer to every Erasmus student and that makes the task of arranging a place to stay much easier. In fact, the housing situation in Copenhagen is very complicated because there is a shortage of accomodation for foreign students an the prices are quite high.
