In the beginning it was rather hard to cope in Italian, but I always tried to speak only Italian, in the end I acquired good language skills

Regardless of the general feeling of the university, there are lots of people, Italian and international, worth knowing.

Take advantage of your location and travel, especially south. For example, I would recommend Ponza island. Restaurants deserve a closer look. Via del Governo Vecchio is a good place to start. Look out for the Trevi, Pasquino cinemas and the Hollywood shop if you like movies. There's lots of things going on in Rome, find them out.

Do the language course at the beginning of each semester (helps you to meet dozens of other Erasmus students and have fun)! Take it easy and talk to lecturers about any problems!
