courses were varied and exciting - for example i studied literature of the holocaust and the history of hip hop in one semester..amazing!

Difficult to understand locals at the beginning, then you get used to it. Same things happened in classrooms. It may take a while before feeling really comfortable

Pourquoi?
dorms were rigid in their rules, i was warned well beforehand and got an apartment with a friend. It was pretty cheap and although a little bit ghetto it was the best decision.

university housing was more expensive, had bizarre rules and was more like boarding school than university.
