Telephone is very expensive in germany - i sugest a pre payd card!!! In portugal i lived withmy parents so i didnt need to pay anything. But the price i payed was ok, not expensive at all. Overall i spent more money because i went out a lot more!

Buy trips back home in advance. Before you travel check the promotions both in train and in airplane. Dont make a phone or internet contract: pre payd always!!! Dont live like if you are a tourist, no one is a tourist for a year.

New friends and new city: Nightlife!! Also lunch or dinner in a restaurant was much more usual abroad than back home. Short distances to see Europe: Travel!! Expensive calls to Finland was the reason, why telephone bills were a lot smaller than back home! Food is quite the same price as back home.

I had payed in france for my university and I had to pay for the german university too the euro checks cost to be changed too!! the health cost nothing if we will but the doctors are very bad
