There is something wrong with the other review. User 'carool' wrote "I happen to own a house in Chiang Mai" even though it's ILLEGAL for foreigners to own houses in Thailand.

In Chiang Mai everything is possible. This is one of the major tourist spots of Thailand, it has a flourishing expat community and is the educational center of Northern Thailand. Take your pick!
